The IBA\u2019s president stated on the time that Khelif and Taiwanese Olympic boxer Lin Yu-ting<\/u>, who may even struggle in a gold medal match on Saturday, have been disqualified after they have been discovered to have “XY chromosomes.”<\/p>\n

After defeating Italy\u2019s Angela Carin in just 46 seconds, Khelif defeated Hungarian Luca Anna Hamori via unanimous decision in the quarterfinals and did the same against Thailand\u2019s Janjaem Suwannapheng Tuesday to advance to the gold medal match.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Khelif\u2019s gold medal is Algeria\u2019s first in women\u2019s boxing.\u00a0<\/p>\n
