USA Gymnastics seemed to be given a defeat in its efforts to struggle a call from the Center of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) over its ruling about Jordan Chiles’ bronze medal.
The gymnastics federation appealed the CAS ruling that Chiles’ rating within the ground train on the 2024 Paris Olympics needs to be reverted again to a 13.66 rating and drop her from third to fifth place within the standings. The CAS stated U.S. coaches made their inquiry for the judges to present her 0.1 factors again 4 seconds too late.

USA Gymnastics stated Sunday there was video proof on the contrary and requested the CAS for Chiles’ rating of 13.766 to be reinstated. Its request to go over the newly discovered proof was denied.
“USA Gymnastics was notified by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) on Monday that their rules do not allow for an arbitral award to be reconsidered even when conclusive new evidence is presented,” the federation stated in an announcement on Monday.
