Chinese port rocked by large container ship blast


Surveillance footage captured the second an enormous explosion on a cargo ship rocked certainly one of China’s busiest ports.

Chinese state media stated that shockwaves have been felt as much as a kilometre away from the Ningbo-Zhoushan Port, south of Shanghai.

Rescue officers stated no casualties had been reported aboard the ship, which it stated was owned by the Taiwanese container transport firm Yang Ming Marine Transport.

The Zhejiang Province Emergency Management Administration stated the ship was carrying hazardous supplies, however didn’t specify what they have been.
